About Dr. Melissa Hobday
Dr. Melissa Hobday is a board-certified veterinary surgeon with a distinct interest in gastrointestinal, orthopedics, and upper airway procedures. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Dr. Hobday then practiced emergency medicine for over 10 years before completing her surgical residency in 2011 at the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Hobday works as an independent contractor. Dr. Hobday has dedicated her career to providing exceptional patient treatment, staying proficient in current medical procedures and best practices in her designated field of specialization. As a caring and skilled professional, Dr. Hobday is steadfast in providing comprehensive case management and working directly with her clients to provide customized follow-up care that is unique to each case she encounters. Dr. Hobday has a true appreciation of the fine arts. She has a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Prior to chasing her dream of helping animals, she pursued that passion for the arts in Italy studying sculpture. Dr. Hobday has two pets of her own, a cat named Taters and a Boykin Spaniel named Hug.
