Our Story
East Oak Veterinary Hospital was first established in 1977 by Dr. Michael Hennessy. In 2019, the VanKooy family purchased East Oak Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Hennessy and re-established the practice as East Oak Animal Hospital in the same location. East Oak Animal Hospital is located in the vibrant, pet loving community of Vineland, New Jersey. It's convenient location makes it accessible from Philadelphia all the way to the Jersey Shore. It is a flourishing, privately owned mother and son veterinary practice featuring Dr. Jay and Dr. Mary VanKooy, along with a growing team of veterinary professionals on staff. East Oak takes pride in the ability to offer comprehensive veterinary services including: digital radiology, ultrasound, in-hospital laboratory, endoscopy, electrosurgical equipment, state of the art surgical and dental suites, and offer specialty surgical services in orthopedics and soft tissue surgery. We are fully invested in having the latest tools and technology in order to provide the highest standard of veterinary care in our community and surrounding areas.
